Gender fluidity refers to change over time in a person’s gender expression or gender identity, or both. In the past, artists like David Bowie, Prince, and Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus in the recent past are a few examples of people in the music industry who broke down gender norms. A person who is gender fluid is flexible regarding where they identify on the gender spectrum. Though a relatively new term to a lot of people, there’s a long history of people who fit within this description. Whether you are gender fluid or know someone who is, practicing acceptance and kindness is of utmost importance.
